🐶🐩🐕🦮It’s National Dog Month🐶🐩🐕🦮
What is a dog? A dog is fun, comfort, someone who never judges you, will comfort you when you’re sad, and rejoice with you when you are happy. They will come and meet you when you come home and follow you everywhere, even to the loo! A dog will give you unconditional love, and all they want in return is food, shelter, a comfy, warm place and your love.
The one downside of owning a dog, is that one day they will break your heart!! They certainly leave paw prints on it.
This month was created to help us realise exactly what dogs do for us.
Some dogs take on big responsibilities. The guide dogs are very much needed by a blind person. The sheepdogs that a farmer couldn't do without. The assistance dogs, who help the disabled with everyday chores and make their life a lot easier. The Search and Rescue Dogs who risk their lives searching for people lost on mountains, etc. The dogs who sniff out drugs, etc., at docks and airports, and of course, the ones used in war that risk their lives for us all.
We owe a lot to dogs, no matter what their role, they make the world kinder, less complicated and a better place to live.
This month also highlights the plight of dogs in shelters everywhere, through no fault of their own, and all dogs deserve a forever home. But before taking on a dog, remember a dog is for life, not just for Christmas, and make sure you can afford the vet's bills and look after the animal's welfare, as things can be costly and unforeseen things can occur.
Yes
So this month, if you're lucky enough to have a dog, spoil it even more than normal, buy it a new toy, buy some treats they really love and treat them to something special for a meal, they love anything human, including steak!
Today, let's pay a tribute to all our canine friends everywhere, and post all things dog-related, and say thank you for all that they do for us in good times and bad times.
