🎆🎇🔥Remember Remember the 5th of November🎆🎇🔥

Today in the UK we celebrate a man called Guy Fawkes who in 1605 hatched a plot to blow up The Houses of Parliament and kill King James I.
Why we celebrate this nobody knows, but it is a fun evening every year with fireworks, bonfires, friends gathering together, and firework displays.

I have to say as a child I loved Guy Fawkes night, waiting for Dad to come home and eat his tea and off we would go down to the yard and let some fireworks off, and I would run around with some sparklers trying to write my name. Once they had finished, there was always a bonfire in the alley way, so we used to chuck potatoes on it, and then eat them. OMG they were burnt to a cinder but tasted good!! We have had a few parties in our time, and got together with friends, but not done anything for years now. We never had fireworks where we are cos we had animals.
The best place now to see them is at a display, much cheaper, the cost of fireworks is beyond stupid, and it is also a lot safer. We can see the displays round here in the distance so that will do and the animals can’t hear them.

What do you do Guy Fawkes Night, nothing or are there displays around which you can see from your house?
Share some of your childhood memories of today.
Post all things to do with treason, fireworks, guy fawkes and having fun.
There is a party at 7 o’clock to celebrate this unique day. Please join us.
