🐝🍯🧸Yes, it’s National Winnie the Pooh Day

Who is Winnie the Pooh? He is a bear of very little brain, and was first introduced to us on 24th December 1924 in a London newspaper, followed by the first book in 1926 with his friends, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit and Eeyore.

All his friends were based on toys owned by A.A. Milne’s son, known as Christopher Robin. They all lived in 100 Acre Wood in East Sussex, where the author lived with his son, and got his ideas for the stories through walking through the woods with his son. The stories were magical and gave you the feeling of pure escapism. He came out with some wonderful, and often very true, quotes, which people still recite today.
Winnie the Pooh got his name from the author’s teddy Winnie, and the Pooh bit was a nickname of a swan the author met on holiday

His idea of life was “a little something to eat” and some good company and that made a good day. He wasn’t far wrong either!

To celebrate today, why not read one of his books, or watch a movie, even try some Winnie the Pooh recipes or learn more about him. Whatever you do, let’s celebrate this probably most loved fictional bear of them all.

There is so much I could say about Winnie the Pooh, but it would make the OP far too long, so today post all things relating to Winnie the Pooh (and his friends) and let’s have a great time with a wonderful bear
