🎡🏞️⛱️Let’s Have A Day Out🎡🏞️⛱️
Well, the weather has been pretty good, and I am sure we all say, at times, we fancy a day out but don't know where to go. The choices are endless, really.
A day out is good for you and doesn't have to cost a lot of money or be too far. Most towns have places you can visit for a day, be it a theatre for an afternoon performance, a nice park to walk around and sit and have a coffee, or a museum or art gallery, or even an old Church, some are very beautiful inside. Or if you live in a town, you can always have a day out in the countryside. We are lucky Lincoln has a lot to offer for a day out, and we live 7 miles away from a Horse Rescue Centre and can go and visit them and have a drink in the restaurant, or there is a farm that makes its own ice cream not far. Not forgetting the fabulous sandy beaches we have up here, where you can go and not see anybody all day. There is a coal mining museum not that far away, and a tram museum, to name a few places.

The good thing about a day out is you don't have to book it and then find it’s pouring with rain. You can get up in the morning and say right, I am going out, be it by train, car or bus. Coach trips are available but are quite costly and take a big chunk out of your day, as does driving a long distance and to me, it's not worth it cos by the time you get there, it’s time to come home.
Not my idea of a day out, but some enjoy it.
Most things are open all year round, but if in doubt, give them a call to find out their opening times and admission prices if applicable. Many museums, etc., are free
So what would be your choice for a day out?
A country pub for lunch and a nice drink on a nice day takes some beating as well.
Tell us today your choice for a day out, and do you go on day trips, if so where to, and post things all related to a day out.
