๐Ÿ›๐Ÿš๐Ÿ›Letโ€™s Enjoy National Curry Week๐Ÿ›๐Ÿš๐Ÿ›

Well, we are now into October and our thoughts are changing regarding food. Itโ€™s goodbye to salads, until Christmas, and hello warming meals. Whatโ€™s better on a cool Autumn evening than a nice curry?

This week celebrates the culinary delights that has grabbed the hearts of many people. Its spices, aroma, different flavours and different ways of cooking has made it one of the most popular dishes round the globe. Every region has its own curry speciality and ways of cooking things, but wherever you go in India, you canโ€™t get away from curry. I would love to go for the food. The Indian people are very hospitable and you could be invited home for a once in a lifetime experience. Or visit the street markets, where authentic Indian food is cooked for you. The Street markets also sell spices, imagine the smell, clothes and anything to do with India.

Some think curry is a single spice, but it is a South Asian or Indian way of cooking where specific spices are used to create a delicious sauce. The spices are ground freshly. Some of the spices are onions, ginger, garlic, turmeric, cumin coriander and chillies, and together they make a wonderful sauce.
People have used the word curry to describe a variety of dishes or an Indian restaurant. But it isnโ€™t.

So, today, post all things curry-related, music, (not Indian please) pics etc. and celebrate by maybe making a curryโ€”canโ€™t beat homemadeโ€”or having a takeaway.

It is also Taffโ€™s 12th Anniversary of being on social media, so to celebrate there is a curry party later for us to enjoy.
