🍨🍦🍧It’s Ice Cream Time🍨🍦🍧

Well, now the weather is improving, our thoughts turn to summery things, like ice cream to help cool us down, and give us something to really enjoy.

Makes me want some!!

I don't know anybody who doesn't like ice cream of one sort or another.  There are so many flavours now to choose from, from the basic vanilla to exotic flavours like mango and passion fruit.  There are cornets, wafers, ice cream on sticks, Knickerbocker Glories, banana splits, to name a few, offering us a fantastic choice of this wonderful treat. 

I was brought up near a proper Italian ice cream parlour, and the owner was always winning awards, mostly gold for his ice cream. His knickerbocker glories were to die for, at the price of two shillings and sixpence!!  The Company still trades today, but online wholesale only, unfortunately. 
There was also a fantastic coffee and ice cream shop in a coastal town near us. The cabinet of ice cream was half the width of the shop and was filled with wonderful flavours. If you wanted strawberry, it had strawberries on top; the same went for chocolate, which had pieces of chocolate, and so forth, with all the flavours. 

Ice cream is also easily made at home, with or without an ice cream maker. I have often thought of making some I have to admit.
